Pigtail
Salad ½
head cabbage shredded ¼ head red cabbage (I usually buy the bag of slaw mix) 1
grated carrot 1 bunch green onions sliced thinly 2 packages ramen noodles
½ cup sugar (I usually use Splenda and decrease the amount just a smidge)
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 cup cashews 1
cup sunflower seeds
Combine ½ cup sugar, 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar and
½ cup vegetable oil with the flavoring packets from 2 chicken ramen soup mixes.
Stir
until the sugar is mostly dissolved. Break
the ramen noodles into small pieces (crumble). Combine them with the cabbage,
carrot and green onion.
Several
hours before serving (or overnight) pour the liquid dressing over all and mix
well. Immediately
before serving, stir in cashews and sunflower seeds. |
