The
Texas North Star Sams
The Texas North Star Sams is a RV or "camping" club and was chartered by the national Good Sam organization in 2002.
Having
recently added several new member couples, we currently have 17 member
couples and anticipate losing a few members.
We would like to raise membership to about 20.
Our
current members age from the late 50s to the early 70s.
About
half still work, while the rest are retired.
All have grown kids who do not live with our members, but are welcome
at our activities. Grandkids are always welcome.
We
get together once each month (except for the HOT summer months) at a pre-scheduled
location, within an hour or two of the
D-FW area, for a "campout"
in our RV rigs. Each
member couple co-hosts a campout for one of the months.
We
get together at a local resturant on the first Wednesday of each month
for a Meet & Eat social. Visitors
are especially welcome to join us at one of our Meet & Eat or Campout
events.
(NOTE: It would be a good idea to make
contact with one of us in advance.
That way, we can be sure that someone knows you are coming
and will see that you get introduced all around, etc.)
